Dr Hemant Suthar (Dentist)
With more than 15 years of experience in dentistry, Dr Hemant Suthar, or Dr Hem as many patients know him, believes good care starts with listening. He takes the time to understand what has brought someone in, what they’re concerned about and what they hope to get from their treatment.
He provides a broad range of general and cosmetic dentistry, including professional cleans, restorative treatments, veneers, crowns, root canal treatment and extractions. Dr Hem also offers Invisalign® and other clear aligner treatment for patients interested in exploring ways to straighten their teeth.
His approach is calm and considered. He explains things clearly, welcomes questions and wants people to feel informed about the decisions they’re making about their dental health.
Dr Abhishek Patel (Dentist)
Dr Abhishek Patel enjoys the variety that comes with dentistry. Some days that might mean helping someone with a broken tooth or dental emergency. On others, he may be planning more involved restorative or aesthetic treatment.
He has a particular interest in aesthetic dentistry, complex restorative care, prosthodontics and oral surgery, and enjoys the balance of technical detail and creativity these areas involve.
Dr Abhishek also provides everyday general and preventive dentistry, children’s dental care, dentures and custom mouthguards. Whatever the reason for the visit, he looks at the bigger picture and talks patients through the treatment choices that may suit their needs.
Nishtha (Oral Health Therapist)
Nishtha is an Oral Health Therapist with a strong focus on prevention and helping people feel more confident looking after their teeth and gums at home.
She knows that oral health advice is only useful if it makes sense in everyday life, so she keeps things practical and easy to understand. During appointments, she explains what she’s seeing, answers questions and shares tips that can help patients stay on top of their oral hygiene between visits.
Nishtha works closely with the Smilemakers dentists as part of the wider team caring for patients and families.
She speaks English, Hindi and Punjabi and is happy to communicate in whichever of these languages feels most comfortable for the patient.
